Back to the sea - Sequential Poetry With Mum Part 2
Forward; writing with mum
When my mum was alive we use to write poetry together. You heard of sequential storytelling? One person starts the first line and another person does the next. We did that with poetry. Below is one of those poems and short stories. What is more, I have a book of short stories and poems coming out with some of our work. If you enjoy my writing and live near Liverpool UK come to my book launch.

I must go back to the sea again,
To meet the one I loved and lost,
To the cruel waves and the rocks below,
I must go back to the sea again,
To lay this ghost which haunts me so,
To hear the mournful seagulls cry,
And listen to voices in the wind,
To watch the silent clouds drift by,
I must go back to the sea again,
Although I know it is all in vain,
But perhaps I will feel his spirit here,
Some little comfort to ease my pain,
To mend this broken heart of mine,
I must go back to the sea again.
I must go back to the sea again,
To meet the one I loved and lost,
To the cruel waves and the rocks below,
I must go back to the sea again,
To lay this ghost which haunts me so,
To hear the mournful seagulls cry,
And listen to voices in the wind,
To watch the silent clouds drift by,
I must go back to the sea again,
Although I know it is all in vain,
But perhaps I will feel his spirit here,
Some little comfort to ease my pain,
To mend this broken heart of mine,
